Dear Ed Equity Lab Scholars & Alumni,

Happy March! Let us soon welcome spring with open arms and open minds, embracing the spirit of growth and transformation it brings. May this season inspire us all to reach new heights of academic excellence and sow the seeds of knowledge to continue growing, learning, and thriving.  

Reminder -- The first ever National Education Equity Lab Alumni Scholarship is live!  We know many of you will be entering college soon, or may already be there, and want to help make the journey easier for you. If you're a senior in high school or already in college, tell us a story about your Ed Equity Lab experience to apply by March 15: forms.gle/8E4F3sxUrL7YW3Fq6

Upcoming Events:

  • Pre-Law Night with Georgetown Law School on March 13 from 6:30 - 7 PM ET

    • Ever thought about being a lawyer but are not sure where to start? Look no further! Georgetown Law School's Dean of Admissions, Andy Cornblatt, as well as Georgetown Alumni and current attorneys, will be sitting down to talk about getting into law school as well as the profession that comes after. This event is limited capacity and will be first come first serve to the first 25 students to sign up here.  

  • Reading Wrapped on March 28 from 6:30 - 7 PM ET

    • Happy National Reading Month!  We're calling all bookworms to join us on Thursday, March 28 from 6:30 - 7PM ET for an event hosted by your very own Alumni Society.  You've heard of Spotify Wrapped...But have you heard of Reading Wrapped? Meet other scholars from across the country and talk about your favorite books, texts, comics, and beyond that you've read recently! RSVP here.

College Advising

  • GetSchooled: Don’t forget to sign up for your free, digital college and job advisor through Get Schooled! They’ve got the best and most up-to-date content on everything from applying to college and jobs, paying for college, and taking care of yourself. 

    • Scholars of any grade level can sign up for email support and text advising here! You can also text #edequity to 33-55-77 to sign up!

  • Let’s Get Ready

    • Sign up here for application and completion support via text + SAT prep from near-peer college student coaches. This is open to students from junior year of high school through college graduation.

  • Matriculate

    • Connect virtually with a college-student mentor to advise you through the college application, enrollment, and transition process .Open to 11th & 12th graders with 3.5+ GPA, family income <$90K, and a rigorous course load.
